Maria Daroch–Kujawińska

She is a graduate of the Music Academy in Katowice, where she studied with Professor Czesław Stańczyk. She is the winner of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Piano Competition in Piotrków Trybunalski.

In 2006 she received a special award at the Felix Mendelssohn International Competition in Berlin. She per forms regularly in Poland and abroad both as a soloist and chamber musician and participates in prestigious international festivals.

She has appeared with the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Łódź and the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, as well as with the Idyllwild Arts Festival Symphony Orchestra at the Disney Hall in Los Angeles. In 2011 she was one of the soloists in a concert for ten pianos performing with the symphony orchestra under Adam Klocek.

In 2013 she won First Prize in the duo category at the 18th Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź.

She regularly takes part as a soloist and chamber musician in international projects and courses, working closely with many prominent performers. She is a member of faculty of the Music Academy in Katowic.
